Larissa Jenne
Die Bühnen- und Kostümbildnerin Larissa Jenne (sie/ihr) studierte an der Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee und erforscht Material und Objekte als theatrale Kommunikationsmittel. 2022 ist Larissa Gast-Expertin für nachhaltige Materialnutzung und ‘Müll’ als kreative Ressource beim ‘Netzwerk Szenografie & Kostümbild in den Freien Darstellenden Künsten’.
Neben Kollaborationen mit Kollektiven der freien Theater- und Tanzszene (SchelhasCoOperation, BadaboomBerlin, HennermannsHorde Frankfurt a.M., Kollektiv mikroKit) und Theaterhäusern in ganz Deutschland, entwickelt sie eigene Theaterarbeiten an der Schnittstelle visueller und darstellender Kunst, zwischen Figurenspiel und Installation. Das mobile Schattentheater ‘7 Metamorphosen’ gastierte an der Schaubude Berlin. Die immersive und interaktive Installation ‘#mysharedspace’ feierte Premiere an der Schaubude Berlin und wurde 2021 zum FigurenTheaterFestival Erlangen Nürnberg Fürth, 2023 zum RADAR Festival für junges Figurentheater und zum Internationalen Figurentheaterfestival UNIDRAM am T-Werk Potsdam und 2025 zum Westflügel Leipzig eingeladen. Larissa erhält 2021 und 2023/'24 das Recherchestipendium des Fonds Darstellende Künste. Sie untersucht auf solo Weitwander-Touren die Beziehung von Bewegung und Veränderung und die Beziehung von Mensch und Natur. Thematisch anschließend forscht sie 2024 als Artist in Residence auf Schloß Bröllin e.V. mit Kolleg*innen nach alternativen und queere Perspektiven zum Konzept von “Mutter Natur”.
Die Recherche 2023 erforscht die Gruselgestalt der Spinnenfrau Arachne und eine kämpferische und feministische Annäherung an textile Kunst und Handarbeit.
Larissa Jenne is a stage- & costume- designer and puppet creator. Since her Diploma at School of Art and Design Berlin-Weißensee she explores the possibilities of puppet- and object- theatre. She works with theatres and independent collectives as a visual artist with focus on sustainable material- use and 'trash' as a creative resource. The 'Network Scenography and Costume Design in the independent Performing Arts' invited Larissa as an expert lecturer on this topic in 2022.
Her own theatre performances oscillate between puppet theatre and interactive installation like the mobile shadow-play '7 Metamorphosen' or the interactive installations 'Archiv der schier verlorenen Dinge' and 'GESTALTEN' in Roter Salon der Volksbühne Berlin. Her immersive and interactive installation '#mysharedspace was presented at Schaubude Berlin and invited to FigurenTheaterFestival Erlangen-Nürnberg-Fürth 2021, to RADAR Festival and UNIDRAM Festival @T-Werk Potsdam in 2023 and to Westflügel Leipzig in 2025.
2021 and 2023/'24 Larissa receives a research grant from Fonds Darstellende Künste. She explores the connection between movement and change on long distance solo hiking tours and the human interconnectedness with nature. In 2024 she is Artist in Residence at Schloß Bröllin e.V., searching for more queer and alternative perspectives of our concept of “Mother Nature”.
In her second research Larissa explores the female horror-creature Arachne and the meaning of textile art and female empowerment. Larissa shares her upcycling skills in inclusive workshops and creating monstrous costumes out of trash.
